There's an ANSI editor named PabloDraw that runs a custome server/sharing mode that allows for multiple users to work on a file.  It would be nice to see a similar option in Crimson.  Where you can start sharing a file you are working on (starts a server on a given port), that other people on your lan/wan can connect to via Crimson.  Along with a small chat window at the bottom.

It seems kind of funny that this isn't a common feature for editing.  Remote shared view/edit would be a great feature to have.

It's not that common because it is very difficult to do well.

You have to "lock" documents in realtime to prevent users overwriting each others changes.
