Version: SVN286

Scrolling through a large text file rapidly causes crash. I have isolated the crash to a conflict with the current Radeon HD 3xxx series Driver. Apparently ATI had a similar problem with Internet explorer and other browsers awhile back (2004ish).

I tested the scrolling problem with PDF files, Chrome, Internet Explorer, MS Word, WordPad and did not have a system hang occur.

I tested crimson editor in VGA mode and the problem does not occur.

While in crimson editor with the Catalyst 11.5 drivers in Windows XP, I can cause the system to hang within moments by scrolling quickly.

I have alerted ATI to the problem; however, it is interesting that it only occurs in crimson editor and not other applications while scrolling. I am guessing there is some sort of conflict occurring. I wanted to alert the emerald/CEDT community in case there was something on their end that could be done to address this issue. Somehow I don't see AMD/ATI believing that it is their driver solely despite the evidence their driver is crashing.
