Hello, since this is a limitation in CE, I want to include it as a request for enhancement in Emerald Editor:
I'm not able to stop a deep "find in files" when I already found what I need and don't want more files scanned. With a big directory tree to scan, sometimes this ability is sorely missing.
With nearly 2500 files and 200 directories, often I'm interested in examining the first entry that contains certain string or pattern, but I have to wait until "find in files" has scanned all directories.
Also, while "find in files" is running, no keystroke is accepted by the editor. I assume the search facility doesn't run in a separate thread.
Hence, definitively want to ask the developers to consider making the "find in files" a non-blocking operation and one that can stopped at will.
Thanks.
