I love English and English UI. However, I often need to develop some code in Polish and it would be really frustrating if I couldn't type Polish fonts due to some shortcuts that would use alt+ (a,z,x,s,n,c,l,o,e). I'm sure other non-English people will use it and probably the best solution would be to avoid alt+ combinations in general (especially if you support UTF-8).

Probably you'll aware of the problem, but I saying this just in case. Thanks.

We'll try Smiley I don't know where the shortcuts code is, otherwise I'd mess with it. Do you know of any Alt shortcuts that currently exist?

Alt+f usually opens the file menu etc..

Tbh though i would be reluctant to support this request if it this is indeed what he means as while i don't use those shortcuts often i do use them..

A possible solution is to have the option to turn them off and have them on by default.

True, alt+ stuff opens menus. However, what I typically do is type alt, then type the letter, and it still works. But I think we should use alt+ stuff for menus as that is standard.

Like you said, it could be an option though.

I think it is possible to change it. I'm not totally positive though.

It's fine if there's an option to switch it on/off. Alt+F is fine, at least for Polish. But it would be even better if we could customize all the menu shortcuts.

And please note that proper support of non-English characters is extremely important for me and probably all non-English webmasters.
