One feature from firefox's tab management that I miss regularly is the close other tabs feature.  Often I'll open a file into CE by clicking it and that starts CE.  Unfortunately, all my previous (and unrelated) files are open.  I'd like to be able to close all of them without closing the file I just opened.

I agree, I like this feature, "close all except this tab"
Comes in very handy

What about allowing to close tabs by middle-clicking them (as in firefox)?

 Smiley

Happy to get here - I'm a CE lover, LOL

And I definitely like the close other TAB idea. I use different sets of files for different tasks, when I switch tasks this would be very useful = let be sure to make assignable.

Could you maybe explain it in greater details?
Thanks,

I think he means that you right click on any tab and one of the options is to "close all other open tabs" leaving just the one you right clicked on open.

I got an impression that the request was to be able to close a set of files defined by "task". This is sort of implemented through projects and maybe it is possible to add "Close project" to tab menu. The problem is that when I try to "Close project" from "Project" menu all files get closed, even ones that don't belong to project Smiley)

So that's why I asked for clarification.

Thanks,

Personally, I would prefer to have this as an option in the File menu (Close All Other Files). This would be in addition to the options Close and Close All.
