Hey there,

I don't upgrade as often as I should and just upgraded from SVN 241 to SVN 286 and with a bit of use discovered that attempting to search and replace the regular expression ^ (to add something to the first of a line) now yields an error message that ^ matches the empty string and the search does not proceed.  If this is a bug, consider it reported.  If it is a feature, how can I now use search and replace to add a string to the start of a line?  Because I use this quite a lot I've downrev'ed back to 241 until I find out how to work around it.

Thanks,

I also ran into this with SVN 286 for both '^' to match beginning of line and '$' to match end-of-line.  I use these to insert text in the front of a line and at the end of a line almost daily, and I also reverted to an earlier version.
