In SVN, I created a contrib file to list all the people who have added any work to the project. People should put their name there when they contribute.

There is also the "Team" page on the website (SVN/website/team/index.php) which can be modified as well.

When creating the team page, I originally envisaged that it would only be the core team members, and that a contrib file (or equivalent) would be needed to credit other supporters.

It might also be worth listing in contrib who has contributed what to the project... unless anyone has any objections?

Generally, that's not necessary. What you can do is in the Doxygen comment for a class or function, just put @author and your name Smiley.

I was thinking on a more general level, not a specific thing.

E.g.:

Arantor: Website administrator / project manager
daemon: Major coding works
alpha: Coding support and builds
Nick: Graphics, logos, resident artist
Zhrakkan: Official mascot

Of course this is not very detailed, or especially accurate (it's nearly 1am here and I have to go to work in 7 hours time!) but it is what I was thinking you were heading towards with the contrib file. I haven't added real names here, because I think this is a choice the individual should have (I personally have no issue with my real name being posted, but others may have)

If real names do get added, it probably should be "Real name (forum u/name)" so people can see the correlation.
